Meet Cynthia Tenggara, the dynamic founder and CEO of Berrykitchen, Indonesia’s leading online catering service. If you’ve ever savored a meal from Berrykitchen, you owe that delightful experience to her innovative spirit. Cynthia is the brilliant mind behind Berrykitchen, a company revolutionizing the way busy urbanites enjoy their meals. From humble beginnings, she transformed Berrykitchen into a powerhouse in the food delivery industry. Cynthia’s journey is nothing short of inspiring.

Born on September 11, 1985, Cynthia Tenggara began her educational journey at Regina Pacis School, where she laid a strong foundation for her future endeavors. She continued her studies at Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH), graduating in 2007. Her education equipped her with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the business world.

After graduation, Cynthia’s educational background played a crucial role in her successful career, which included positions at prominent organizations such as RCTI, Groupon Indonesia, and the YCAB Foundation. Eventually, she founded Berry Kitchen, transforming her dissatisfaction as an office worker into a thriving entrepreneurial venture.

The Birth of Berry Kitchen

Cynthia’s story began with a simple problem: boring office lunches. Working in Jakarta, she found the catering options dull and uninspiring. Determined to change this, she decided to create her catering service. Despite having no culinary skills or business experience, Cynthia’s determination was unwavering. She envisioned a service that offered a variety of delicious, customizable meals at affordable prices.

From Zero to Hero

In 2012, Cynthia launched Berry Kitchen with just five employees. The concept was simple yet revolutionary: an online catering service targeting office workers who wanted tasty, budget-friendly lunches. Customers could customize their meals, choosing from 10-15 different dishes daily, complete with calorie information. Clean, healthy, and affordable, Berry Kitchen quickly became a hit.

Scaling New Heights

Fast forward to today, and Berry Kitchen has become Jakarta’s leading online catering service, employing over 100 people. Cynthia Tenggara’s innovative approach and unwavering dedication have transformed Berry Kitchen into a household name, serving thousands of office workers across the city.

As the company grew, scaling up became the natural next step. Under Cynthia’s visionary leadership, Berry Kitchen expanded its reach significantly, catering to an increasing number of customers. This expansion was reflected in the growing number of clients, the enhanced diversity of meal options, and the broader geographical areas they served.

Challenges and Triumphs

Cynthia’s journey wasn’t always smooth. She faced numerous challenges, from managing logistics to ensuring consistent food quality. However, her resilience and ability to adapt kept Berry Kitchen thriving. She surrounded herself with experts in business and culinary arts, learning from them and continuously improving her service.
